Lucky in Love by @JoanReeves #RomanceGems

I was one of millions in Texas without power, water, and cell for a week during the recent winter storm.

That storm that hit Texas was more like a Winter Apocalypse.

So I'm thrilled to say goodbye, February, and hello, March!

February is the month when we celebrate Love and Romance.

So is March, but there is a lot of fun attached to Romance and Love this month.

Whether you have Irish ethnicity or not, St. Patrick's Day is a holiday celebrated by all. Our theme this month is Lucky in Love. Read the posts each day to see how our Authors treat that theme.

Giveaway Alert

Leave a comment with an answer to the question posed at the end of this post to be entered in a random drawing for a free copy of my Irish Romance Short Story, Liam's Wild Irish Rose.

Maura O'Reilly doesn't want a relationship. She just wants Liam Harper.

The thought of being tied to one man makes her anxious to the max.

Liam wants more than sex.

Of all the women in the world, he fell for the one who has no interest in him—outside of the bedroom.

Will the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick's Day be with Liam? Can he get Maura to make a commiement to him?

Lucky in Love: Interesting Irish Fact

English is not the first language of Ireland.

The first language is Irish which people outside of Ireland oncorrectly call Gaelic, or Gaelige.

Gaelige is one of the oldest, most historic written languages in the world.

In actuality, Gaelic is an adjective that describes the people and culture of Ireland. The term “Gaelic” as a  language applies only to the language of Scotland

Both Gaelic and Gaelige are Indo-European langauges. About 30% of the 3.5 million population in Ireland can speak Irish. Of that, 5% use it regularly.

    1. Hi, Nora. It's a very busy month, and it's just the first! We're at our house in the country, and everything in the yard is dead from the winter storm. We'll be working several days to clean up as much as we can.

  3. I have never had green beer. Actually, I don't like beer. I do, however, come from Scotch/Irish stock and enjoy St. Patrick's Day. stephaniesuesansmith at gmail.com

    1. You and I have that in common. I don't like beer either, but my Darling Hubby does. He even brews artisan beer. *LOL* Got you entered for the giveaway.

    1. Thanks, Marcia. Yes, we'll remember the February storm with every hour it takes to remove all the dead shrubbery and plants, and we have to do this at 2 houses! *groan*

  5. I've never had beer of any kind, definitely not green beer. The stuff smells disgusting so not sure why I'd ever taste it. But my husband is very Irish and drinks enough for the both of us so I'm sure he's had it at some time.

    1. I don't mind the smell of most beer. To me, it smells like wheat fields. The taste is nothing like that. *LOL*

  6. I'm Irish, but not much of a beer drinker. I love the festive aspect of green beer day, and have had a few sips out of the hub's glass back in the day when Irish pubs had a rocking party on the 17th with patrons lined up around the block to get in. Ah, the memories.

  7. I have had one sip of green beer, and because I don't like beer, I didn't like it. I'm Irish and Scottish and German, but I do my heritage wrong because I can't find a taste for beer! kara at karaoneal dot com

    1. I'm with you there, Kara. Not a beer drinker at all. I've never understood why it's so popular. I used to think maybe testosterone had something to do with it, but beer is growing in popularity among women. *g*
