I've never been a mother, but I am a stepmother. I can't imagine how a mother could ever find the time for romance in her daily life while being a mother, but they do it. And I am in awe of the mothers who do this. Mother's day was last Sunday, and I'm here to salute all mothers. Mothers who found romance first, then had their families, mothers who found romance while their children were young, mothers who found romance when their children were older, and finally, mothers who found romance when they had an empty nest.
Because I've never really experience the kind of things that a mother would experience, I was a bit nervous about writing a story of a woman who was a mother, and finding romance. I put a book out anyway, and with my publisher's help, I think we made it real. I'd be interested in what you, the reader, thinks. If you like that kind of romance, would you be willing to read the book and leave a review of what you think? Here's the blurb for the story.
Love, A Second Time Around by Constance Bretes
They stole five years of his life. Now it’s time to settle the score.
Released from prison after serving five years for a crime he didn’t commit, Dr. Jon Stephenson is left with the task of rebuilding his veterinarian business, finding his son, and bringing those who wronged him to justice.
Not only had the love of Cat Morgan’s life been sent to prison, but prior to his arrest he had broken her heart. Needing a new start, she left town with Jon’s young son. Unknown to Jon, she was pregnant at the time. Now she’s a single mom to two young boys. She never expected to see Jon again, and now that he’s
shown up, demanding the opportunity to provide the father figure his sons need,
she finds herself falling for him all over again. Actually, to be honest, she
never stopped loving him. But will she ever be able to forgive his past indiscretions,
and can they learn to trust each other again?
Oh, I like reunited lovers and babies. You have a winner with Love A Second Time Around. And stepmoms deserve their own awards. Best to you, Constance.
