And now it seems we're celebrating a return to more "normal" things, like travel, family gatherings, (The Brits have reinstated hugs!) and vacations. Whatever we choose to do for ourselves and our mental health, we deserve it. Especially as women.
Today I received word from a hotel chain that they would soon be open for business again. Sigh...this is a good thing for my mental well-being. Not that I'm in a position to actually book time away yet. But just knowing that I'm one step closer cheers me.
As a writer, though, I'm committed to completing projects that I agreed to work on during the darkest days of recent times. I'm so happy I had lots of hours to work and write and do my favourite things. It helped! If you found a new hobby or returned to an old one, please let us know here.
Meantime, I have a cover to show you for an upcoming release! Look for Claiming Shandy Return to Welcome Book 4 this summer! (Just in time for Christmas reading.) You can read it on the beach, in your easy chair, or on a plane on the way to somewhere else...
Just know that you deserve it!

Thanks for stopping by and remember if you've restarted a hobby or taken up something new, we'd love to hear about it.
No new hobbies for me, unfortunately. I want to start an herb garden but I'm waiting until the summer. Of course, I have no idea if that's a good time to start one, so I might be waiting even longer!
ReplyDeleteI’m off on Sunday to buy some annuals for pots ... that’s as close as I get to herbs Have fun!
DeleteTrying to pick up an old hobby. Have two quilts done that have been sitting forever. They just need the binding, the final step. Have everything ready to go at last.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cover, Bonnie. Looks like a wonderful summer read.
Quilting seems so relaxing! Have fun.
DeleteI like this cover too!
I have gone back to taking riding lessons, which is a good way to get time on a horse without owning one. I've also gone back to volunteering at Alley Cat Advocates. These are two things I missed in 2020. We can ditch our masks outside now in Kentucky and in some places inside.
ReplyDeleteTwo great outdoor activities, Jan. Years ago I volunteered as a dog walker for the animal shelter here...until I found my own dog!
DeleteI'm glad to be back north to help out with my grandkids. Still waiting on the new baby. She's taking her time!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure a new granddaughter counts as a hobby, Kari, but they take up just as much time and all the love, too! Congratulations!
DeleteI went back to baking my own bread.
ReplyDeleteYou and I both enjoy baking...I've taken a few tips from you over the years. May not have told you, but I have. Bread is for my DH to bake...but I like baking muffins, pies, cakes and biscuits...lots of biscuits.
DeleteI feel like a slacker. No new hobbies for me. We plan to add some bedding plants and small shrubs to our yard, but that's it. I hope to read more in the coming year.
ReplyDeleteI'm slacking with Caroline, but have written a LOT. A great post, Bonnie, and what a gorgeous cover that is!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Bonnie, loving the light at the end of this very long, dark tunnel. Fingers and everything else crossed things stay on track. And, I too, have been writing like crazy. The past year and a half has upped my author game, and I'm delighted. Aside from that, family, pets, fun new recipes, greatly expanded gardens, online author buddies, and wine night LOL kept me relatively sane. I'll forever be grateful for all those blessings!
ReplyDeleteLove the cover, Bonnie. Good luck with the new release.
