The Fun that is BookBub by @BonnieEdwards #RomanceGems

I have embraced the glorious reader/author site that is BookBub and I hope you will too.

If you haven't heard of BookBub yet, you're in for a treat. They offer readers deals on free and on-sale books. If you sign on for their daily newsletter you can pick your favourite genres and curate your own information so that you only receive info on books you want to hear about.

If you're a blogger or regular reviewer on Amazon, you've likely heard of reviews being removed from books you've loved. Maybe some of your own reviews have vanished with no real chance to appeal the decision.

BookBub lets your words count when you review a book. They KEEP your reviews. I know, I know...shocking, right? We've become so used to living with seemingly arbitrary rules on some sites that the idea of posting and sharing your love of a book and having it stick seems unbelievable.

Not only does BookBub keep your reviews...they make them easy to do. You can give a star rating and then check boxes with suggested words and phrases to keep it simple. Naturally, there's a spot for you to write your review in your own words if you'd like.

Here's an overview: To read more

Easy ... very, very easy.

You can sign in and FOLLOW YOUR FAVOURITE AUTHORS, too. Just type in their name to find them and you can easily follow for updates on new releases.

When an author reaches 1000 followers we get special perks, like the ability to have new release news sent out separately. I'd like to get to that place! I'd love to have that perk!

If you're interested you can follow me here:  https://www.bookbub.com/authors/bonnie-edwards

And here's an invitation to all our Romance Gems authors to include their Bookbub links in the comments.

See you there!

  9. Very interesting! Amazon has been blocking my reviews - I used to review all the books I liked, and Amazon decided to punish me for leaving so many 5-star reviews... damn. I will probably make another login, but it's such a hassle.

I already follow all the Romance Gems authors!

  12. Great post, Bonnie.

As a reader, I'm addicted to Bookbub. Every day, I get the daily deals email where they share free and sale books. I save it to read it during my lunch break. It's like going into your favorite store in the mall and everything is massively discounted.

As a reviewer, I love it for the same reasons you mentioned. It's super easy to leave a review and the reviews stay. No disappearing reviews. YAY!

As an author, I love the convenience of having all our books in one place. It's a great way to connect with readers because, hey, they're there for the same reason you are: a love of books. I'm working my way slowly to 1,000 followers.

  15. I BB! I find great authors and they let me know when new books are out on sale. Amazon had recently been trying to block my reviews so I'm working on putting them all on BB to avoid losing them.
