Reading and Writing by Karen Whiddon
What to write about when our world is in chaos? Like a lot of other authors, I haven't felt much like writing. My creativity has been shot. I've been constantly checking stats, reading articles, and worrying about things that are out of my control.
One of the things I've been doing to cope is reading. And then I realized that maybe, just maybe, writing my romance books might be a good thing, a helpful thing. There are lots of others out there who also want to escape into a book. So I've come to a new appreciation for this job of mine.
Speaking of books, I have a new Harlequin Romantic Suspense out April 1st. Snowbound Targets!
You can purchase this book on Amazon here: BUY NOW!
We will be running a Rafflecopter drawing again this month with three prizes of $20, $15 & $10 gift cards. The drawing will run from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 4th through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday April 26th. Click here to go to the entry form

Understand how hard it is to concentrate. I find my mind jumping from worry to worry. I've helped myself by reading and picking up my sewing. I have to concentrate on running my machine or I sew my finger to the fabric. It's keeping me busy. Snowbound Targets sounds like the perfect book for our time. We can relate to--your characters living with courage in their fear and hopes. Here's to many sales.
ReplyDeleteAs we go along, I'm able to get lost in stories a little better, both my own and other people's. You're right--the books are a helpful thing.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new release! I, too, am finding my concentration failing. Reading, writing and everything else. Yesterday I made muffins and forgot the sugar.
ReplyDeleteBooks are so relaxing. I get lost in the worlds and characters. Thank goodness we have them in a time like this!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading more, but I'm also writing because it helps me dwell on something positive instead of all the negativity in the world. Stay well, Karen.
