Read and Renew by Jan Scarbrough #RomanceGems

#StayHomeAndRead

I don’t need to tell you how crazy and stressful it is right now around the world. I’m staying at home and ordering food and groceries. The final book of my trilogy is coming along—slowly! My doctor advised me not to even watch my grandchildren now that they’re out of school. It’s tough being “high risk.”

I’m doing a few things while “social distancing.” Cleaning the house is NOT one of them. I’m watching our governor’s briefing at 5:00 every day, followed by the president and his advisors. I’m riding the exercise bike or walking—alone. I’ve watched the Friends of Big Bear Valley and Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam on Facebook. This is about a pair of bald eagles building a nest. I hope they will eventually have eggs and babies.

Facebook is also a good place to tour thoroughbred horse farms. Many have live videos. Yesterday, I watched one from Lane’s End Farm where they even took viewers to see the grand mare Zenyatta on her sixteenth birthday.

And I’m reading. I’ve finished one ebook and am on to the next. Some of my books are participating in book sales sponsored by ebook retailers.

I have 4 e-books on Kindle Unlimited.

  1. Totally relatable, Jan! And I'm going to check out some of those live videos! I've been following several of the zoos with live feeds, too. So enjoyable. Be well, and stay safe xo

  2. I haven't been motivated to clean much either. The videos sounds like fun. I'll check them out. Good luck with those terrific books.

  4. Karl and I usually do a good cleaning once a week. Vacuuming and dusting. Once every couple of weeks we mop. The rest we do as we go. We walk around the property and look at the trees and bushes we planted--most have leaves! They were just twigs a few months ago. Trying to stay as normal as possible. I miss going to Hobby Lobby.
Love your books! Wishing you many sales!

    1. I've enjoyed everything turning green. The tree our neighborhood association planted in the fall has pretty white blossoms on it. Can't wait for the time to plant flower seeds for hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees.

  5. A lot of the museums have virtual tours now. I'm just writing and doing laundry--my never ending chore. LOL I really tire of doing laundry. Hero does the cooking and kitchen cleanup plus his own laundry. We are lackadaisical about cleaning but Hero gets the place mopped occasionally. I don't miss going out except for seeing our daughters. I really, really miss seeing them.

  6. All we can do is our part and keep writing. I am grateful it is spring here, and not the long, dark days of winter.

  7. I'm enjoying spring sights and sounds. It's a good time to live in the country, I think.

  8. I stay in the apartment but go out on the balcony a few times a day so that I don't totally lose it!

  11. Jan, I'm lazily cleaning, cooking even more than usual, reading more, writing and plotting more. Also staying in touch with the kids and others via text and phone. I wanted to tell you your cover for Timeless is outstanding!
