Can you believe it, we’re already more than half way through the first month of the new year!
The Romance Gems are busy writing new novels, releasing what they polished in 2019 and sharing the exciting news with you, our Gems.
I’ve been hard at work too. I will be releasing a new book late Spring. I’m also writing a five-book series about wine country in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It is set in a family winery. I introduced readers to the Price family in my book Ready to Soar which is from the Loudon series. When I was writing the book, I fell in love with the members of the Price family and they kept popping into my brain, begging to have their stories told too. I have drafted the first two books and working on the third. Still much to write but as you can guess I’m pretty excited.
Are you on Goodreads? Well in case you haven’t signed up yet they have a reader challenge every year. I know fellow Gem Peggy Jaeger has committed to reading 100 books this year, I signed up for 50. What is your reading goal?
Drop me a message in the comments below and I will award one lucky person a $10 gift card to the e-retailer of your choice.
Remember when you finish a book take a moment to post a review, as an author, we just love it when you do.
Don’t forget to enter this month’s contest.

I love a reading challenge! I was that annoying kid in school who always read every book on the suggested summer reading list. As an adult I find challenging myself to find new authors and new voices in print is a way to keep me current and to keep my mind occupied! whether the commitment is 10 books or 175 ( my highest yet!) it's a great way to stimulate the little gray cells! Great post, dear. Keep reading, AND WRITING!!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm down in the slow reader group. I signed up last year for 12 books and read 13. Still holding there for peace of mind and writing space! Good luck to you Wanda!.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago, I signed up for 50 and read, I think, exactly that. Right now I'm not willing to give myself any more goals. :-) I think it's a fun thing to do, though.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything in the new year!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun series. I love it when secondary chacters insist their stories be told.
ReplyDeleteI love family series so look forward to your new one. I don't set goals for reading books but do set writing goals. Best wishes for the new year.
ReplyDeleteI always do their reading challenge. Last year I read 372 books! I haven't set one yet for this year.
ReplyDeleteNew series sounds awesome! Looking forward to reading it!
ReplyDeleteI'm aiming for 100 books this year as well :)
ReplyDeleteOooo......your new series sounds excellent, Lucinda! Can't wait. Here's to an awesome start to the new year!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Lucinda. I haven't set it on Goodreads, but I'll commit to reading enough books to review 50 books on Amazon!
