Summer Reading by Karen Whiddon

June already.  I don't know about you, bur for me 2021 is going quickly.  Maybe because its a return to normalcy, I'm not sure.

Just like every year, the regular TV shows are winding down.  For me, that means Netflix or summer reading, and I've already got my Kindle loaded up with books. Summer equals reading for me, whether by the pool or in my recliner.

Here's what's on my TBR list: The first two are hardbacks, the rest are Kindle.

How Stella Learned to Talk by Christina Hunger

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

Meet Me in Another Life by Catriona Silvey (almost done with this one.)

This Side of Heaven by Karen Kingsburg

These Tangled Vines by Julianne Maclean

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah I. Mass

Beauty by Robin McKinley

The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Jose Silver

The Wife by Alafair Burke

Wings of Fury by Emily R. Kinng

How to Catch a Queen by Alyssa Cole

This is How it Always Is by Laurie Frankel

The Color of Love by Sharon Sala

And more, but those are my goal reads for this summer.

  5. I started Victoria Thompson's new series. I finished CITY OF LIES and will read CITY OF SECRETS next. I just finished NEWS OF THE WORLD after seeing the Tom Hanks movie of the same name, which I loved. The book is only a bit different. Reading time is precious for me, but I've declared Sunday afternoons are for reading.

  6. I love to read outside in the summer, which means a physical book, which means a trip to the bookstore to load up.

  7. Like Bonnie, I plan to read as many of my Romance Gems sisters' books as I can. But where to start? I will probably hop in with a Last Chance Beach romance as I'll be writing one of my own soon! Fun topic!

  8. Yes, I've got the RG sisters' latest books on my Kindle plus any freebies I've collected from my talented friends. Outside of that, I have a couple of nonfiction titles I want to read and some Dean Koontz, Lee Goldberg, and a few others. I know I've got more I'd like to read than I actually get a chance to read.

  9. Love your list. I'm having trouble settling into reading, which seems to be happening more and more. Anyone else having this?

  10. I'm currently reading two books. They're so different I can do that. I'm Still Here by Austin Channing Brown and While Justice Sleeps by Stacy Abrams. And finishing up edits. What a wonderful world it is.
